How To Pool Party Like A Pro

0

Summertime basically means pool parties and week long trips to the beach. Simply stated, there is nothing like partying with your friends with a cold drink, the sun above you, and water around you. With that said, we here at Popfeeder want to make sure you get the most out of your summer experience, specifically Vegas-style pool party like our very own ACDaylife at The Chelsea. Here are 7 Tips that will make you a pool party legend.

1. Find The Right Party

The definition of pool party can vary from a bunch of noodles in a kiddy pool with a boom box to a venue with bungalows, all-star DJs, and servers that make Maxim Hometown Hotties look like 6s. Make sure you research the location you are visiting and find out what amenities and crowd you should expect.

2. Hydrizzle my Nizzle

Make sure to drink, just not the pool water. Alcoholic beverages, partying, and the sun is an excellent recipe for dehydration. Try to avoid this by continual drinking water throughout the day.

3. Dress for the Occasion

This is specifically for you t-shirt and jeans guy. It’s 103 degrees outside, put on swim trunks and go in the water. Many of the higher end pool parties have strict dress codes, don’t stop your party before you even start by getting denied entry.

4. Pack Light

What do you plan to do with your large beach bag when you have a drink in one hand and your other hand is waving in the air like you just don’t care? Pack only essentials when going to a pool party, most places don’t allow large bags or make you check them before entering.

5. It’s a Marathon, not a Sprint

Day parties tend to last a lot longer then parties at night. Pace your drinking and make sure to eat something as well.

6. Waterproof your Phone & wallet

I think most of use have learned the hard ways cell phones can’t swim. The easiest way to solve this problem is simply to bring a ziplock bag and put your valuables in it to avoid getting them wet. There are also a bunch of fancy waterproof cases, bags, etc. you can buy, but that’s all up to you.

7. Come with Right Crew

In any situation where you are in group the composition of that group will largely dictate the amount of fun you have. Pool parties are no different. Round up a crew of your best and head over to the next pool party.
