Steve and Cookies by the bay is located on the border of Margate and Longport on Monroe Avenue. Built in 1936, the building once housed the infamous Strotbecks dining club. Steve and Cookies is opened all year long with the strong support of the local community. Every night Steve and Cookies features local jazz musicians. During the winter is one of the best times to enjoy Steve and Cookies. The atmosphere is warm and inviting as the space is warmed by 2 wood burning fireplaces. The most coveted location in the dining room is the Verandah area featuring 11 foot windows showcasing the views of the bay. In summer months, Steve and Cookies heats up with the tourists from New York and Philadelphia. The Oyster bar is located on the southwest corner of the property and features its own private entrance. The Oyster bar is a casual atmosphere, perfect for meeting with friends or grabbing a quick bite at the bar. The Oyster bar at Steve and Cookies Margate is sat on a first come, first serve basis. In total, Steve and Cookies Margate seats 220 in five separate dining experiences.

Steve and Cookies menu is curated by local chefs, Kevin Kelly and Warner Christy IV. Their philosophy on cooking has always been to use the freshest ingredients and let them speak for themselves. Steve and Cookies menu only features the freshest seafood, crisp produce, and the finest cuts of meats. Steve and Cookies menu features seasonal fare that embraces locally sourced ingredients for the peak of freshness. In the summer months expect soft-shelled crabs, Maine lobster, and homemade blueberry pie handpicked from the fields in Hammonton, NJ. In the winter months, the Steve and Cookies menu serves heartier meals such as risotto with braised short ribs, roasted duck with sweet potatoes, and Osso Bucco with truffle mashed potatoes. Every Thursday night is Thanksgiving night serving a full Turkey dinner with all the trimmings.
