Does a good cause, good food and good beats pique your interest? On Friday April 10, you can combine all three in support of the Garces Foundation’s Young Friends group. All local young professionals are invited to raise funds for the health, education and nutrition of Philadelphia’s underserved immigrant community.

The Deets

The party starts at 9 p.m. with a VIP cocktail hour. It will showcase local craft beer vendors such as Yards, Dock Street and Evil Genius in a cheese pairing provided by Valley Sheppard Creamery, a shining star of the Reading Terminal Market.

General admission starts at 10 p.m. and includes an open bar sponsored by Tito’s Vodka and Bluecoat Gin and lots of local themed snacks from The Famous 4th Street Cookie Company, Philly Pretzel Factory and Potito’s Italian Bakery.
When not on the dance floor, you can make good use of the photo booth and raffle station. You can bid on items such as Vetri gift cards, signed sports memorabilia and concert tickets!

Need to feed your noggin? Stop by the information table to learn all about the current programs the foundation offers, their community impact and how you can get involved.

VIP tickets are $50 and general admission are $40. Both can be purchased on the foundation’s website.

History of The Garces Foundation

The Garces Foundation was founded in 2012 by Chef Jose and Dr. Beatriz Mirabal Garces. The two raise money to support their own programs as well as to connect people to the many resources already existing within the city.

The goal is seeing Philadelphia’s vibrant and growing immigrant community has access to the care and education they need so they may actively contribute their talents to making this city truly world-class.

Young Friends of Garces Foundation is a young professionals group which focuses on a younger, business oriented demographic to advocate on the Foundation’s behalf. Last year Young Friends hosted Phase One of this fundraiser. It was a breakout success that raised $8,000 to support The Garces Foundation.

This year, we aim to raise even more money!
